Working together to fight prediabetes.
Prediabetes and diabetes are life-threatening issues, but for most young people, type 2 diabetes won’t manifest itself until 30 years down the line. They need to take action NOW, so how can we keep their attention while they are saturated with a plethora of pressing messages?

TED Partnerships leverages deep storytelling expertise and global reach to create memorable, informative, and impactful campaigns.
Working with TED's content team, we started with a list of meaningful facts and statistics, and worked them into a casual and disarming 3-act script intended to be received as a welcome departure from stuffy health-related videos.
1 in every 11 adults has diabetes, and of that group, almost half doesn't even know they have the disease.
A 3-minute short film which educates viewers on the risks of diabetes and prediabetes, and how to overcome them.
Accessible, relatable storytelling.
Concurrent with our script development, we dove into creative exploration with the TED team, reviewing a breadth of visual moods and styles, and engaging in a conversation about specific ways visuals could augment our story.
We developed a collage style that included whimsical homespun shapes and textures, stop-motion-inspired pacing, and a soft and approachable color palette.
We produced an introspective score, and topped it off with narration that conveyed knowledge, as well as youthful reassurance.
